Safety Flooring or Altro Flooring
Safety flooring is designed to be safe, hardwearing, aesthetically pleasing and hygienic. It is associated with food preparation areas, changing rooms, toilets, behind house in hotels etc
It can over a period of years become dull and discoloured when the correct cleaning regime is not implemented. Here at Clean Tile & Grout Limited we have developed our extraction system to clean safety flooring.
By combining mild detergents with warmth low pressure and vacuum we can return safety flooring to as good as new even after 10 years!
Cleaning safety floors is skilled work for technicians. High pressure, excessive heat and strong inappropriate chemicals are not the answer to cleaning safety floors. They can lead to poor results and at worse damage the flooring system

The projects we have undertaken include pubs for major brewers, football stadiums, changing rooms, kitchens, toilets where the cleaning of safety flooring is essential. The antislip properties of altro flooring return as the dirt is removed
Occasionally the colour of the safety flooring can appear black and once cleaned returns to its original colour. More often the safety flooring just appears dull and dirty where mop water is not changed frequently enough and the mopping action in effect just stirs the dirt around.
Enter heat, pressure emulsification and vacuum
The System By combining emulsification, heat, pressure and vacuum we have created a formidable process for cleaning safety flooring.
The emulsifier breaks down all the grease, fats, dirt etc .Once broken down they sit in suspension on top of the surface.
Heat and pressure combine to surgically remove the dirt from the crevices and pores.
Vacuum then removes the suspension entirely from the building to the truck.
The whole process takes place in two easy steps and cleans the altro back to new. More importantly the areas we clean are often associated with hygiene and the heat we apply sterilises as well as cleans
